Flu shots are in - high dose for seniors, and standard dose for ages 9 to 64.  No appointment necessary. We are hosting a dedicated flu shot clinic on Wednesday, September 24th from 10:30am to 4pm.  Come see us!

7/30/2025 - Navigating Ongoing Pharmacy Closures: Tips for Patients

Is your pharmacy closing?  We have tips for you to make the transition to your new pharmacy easy. Olympic has the following options to get started with your transfer: 

  1. Go to Become a Patient on our website and fill out your information to save time loading it into our pharmacy system. 

  2. Call us at 253-858-9941 ext 602 and ask us to call your pharmacy on your behalf to transfer your prescriptions. 

  3. Let you prescriber know that you would like your new prescriptions sent to Olympic Pharmacy.

If you’re considering a job in healthcare or pharmacy, getting started is easier than you might think. In Washington State, becoming a Pharmacy Assistant is a quick and accessible first step—no previous experience or formal training is required.

At Olympic Pharmacy, we hire and train Pharmacy Assistants and help them grow into long-term pharmacy careers. Whether you're returning to the workforce or just starting out, this credential opens the door to on-the-job learning and future advancement.

How to Get Licensed

Step 1: Visit the DOH Pharmacy Professions Licensing Information page (link)

Step 2: Scroll down to Pharmacy Assistant

Step 3: Review Registration Requirements and Fee Schedule

Step 4: Complete your application Online (paper application)

Step 5: Pay the fee and submit our application

Step 6: Wait for processing (usually takes 2-6 weeks)

Step 7: Start working at an approved pharmacy site once licensed & hired!
